Teacher Biography
Hello Everyone, My name is Kody Kennedy. I am in my 3rd year teaching special education as an Intervention Specialist, 1st year teaching at Wheelersburg High School. I graduated from Shawnee State University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science with a concentration in Biology. After graduating, I pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree at Marshall University, however discovered physical therapy was not my passion. I then pursued an Alternate Educator License in the field of Special Education in 2021 from Ohio State University. In 2023, I graduated with my first Master’s degree in Teacher Leadership (P-12) from the University of The Cumberlands. I am currently pursuing my second Master’s degree in Educational Administration, specifically to become a Director of Special Education. I have been happily married to my wife Taylor for 2 years now and we are expecting twin girls due in September 2023; we also have 2 goldendoodles.
In my free time, you will see me on the football field or in the weight room. A major passion of mine is teaching young athletes the great game of football as the Freshman Football Coach at Wheelersburg. I also love serving in my local church and am a part of the Worship Team at Cornerstone Nazarene in Wheelersburg, OH.
I am super excited for this school year and to meet all my new students! I teach 3 classes at Wheelersburg (Intervention Math, Intervention Science, Career & College Readiness). You will find that I update my google classroom weekly, and all assignments for my classes are located on google classroom. If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! I look forward to us having a great year! Go Burg!
