Wheelersburg High School offers a variety of extracurricular activities for its students. Participation in these organizations helps students to feel more of a part of WHS and raises self-esteem and confidence. Members take pride in their accomplishments and learn the value of service to their school and community.

When considering prospective students, colleges and universities view transcripts and prefer those who have been involved in their high school extracurricular activities. These are also important for college scholarship applications. School, church, and community involvement provide for a well-rounded person.

Students are invited to be a part of as many activities as they wish. Some clubs, such as Yearbook, Quiz Team, and NHS require faculty selection. Mock Trial and Key Club are open to all students. Student Council consists of officers from each class.

Students are also offered a chance to participate in a number of sports. Each season brings a new selection for our athletes, both guys and girls. Approximately 170 students are involved in fall sports, 75 in winter, and 130 in spring. These numbers reflect the strong interest in the athletic program at WHS.

Whatever the interest, WHS has an activity for everyone and encourages all to become members. Students from all grade levels can meet and make new friendships. The fun and excitement will be remembered for years to come!
