Open tryouts for all new and returning members will be this Friday (Sept. 13) after school in Mr. Oakes' room from 3:00 - 4:00.

Sign-ups for the Mock Trial Team are now open! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the legal system.
What is Mock Trial?
Mock Trial is a simulated court trial where students take on the roles of attorneys, witnesses, and other courtroom personnel. You will work together to prepare and present cases, competing against other schools in a realistic courtroom setting.
How to Sign Up
Interested students should fill out the sign-up form by Sept 6th. No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and participate actively.

Information Session
I will be hosting an information session on Friday, September 6th during lunch where you can learn more about what to expect and ask any questions you may have. The girls competed in a match at the Little Scioto Golf Course. Adalyn Noble shot a season low of 52 and placed 5th. Kaleena Adkins placed 6th, and Reagan Wilson placed 15th.
The next match will be Monday, Sept. 9 at the Ironton Country Club.

Schedule Changes
Thursday, August 29, is the last day to request a schedule change.

Seniors - Credit Checks
Seniors will be called to the guidance office for credit checks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Juniors - Credit Checks
Juniors will be called to the guidance office for credit checks on Thursday and Friday.

Juniors - PSAT
The PSAT is a three hour standardized test that tests your math, reading and writing abilities. It is the qualifying exam for National Merit Scholarships. The cost is $18. The test will be given on Monday, October 28. To register, reply to this email by September 18.
